On 3 September 2026, Wakefields Real Estate celebrated 87 years in business. A milestone rooted in KwaZulu-Natal, the province we’ve always called home.
Founded in 1939, on the eve of World War II, Wakefields has grown into one of KwaZulu-Natal’s longest-running independent real estate companies. For more than eight decades, we’ve worked alongside generations of families, guiding them through one of life’s biggest decisions: finding a place to call home.
September is Heritage Month in South Africa, and for us, it’s personal. Four generations in, our story is built on service, trust and showing up consistently in the communities we serve.
“Our focus has always been simple: make the process smoother, more transparent, and more human,” says Myles Wakefield. “87 years on, that still holds. We’re proud of the role we’ve played in KZN and the relationships that have carried us here.”
