MOVING WITH THE TIMES

Category Residential Property News

Globally, the 'times they are a-changin', and Wakefields is responding. With the world exploring variations of remote working options and ever-improving mobile technologies, Wakefields is putting their branches' locations, spatial layouts, and tech upgrades under the spotlight. Nothing ever stays the same, and that's no truer than the post-Covid world - workspaces need to evolve to accommodate the changing needs of clients and facilitate the working lives of property practitioners and support staff, and that's just what's happening at Wakefields.

A good-looking, good-feeling office environment undoubtedly engenders a positive spirit, and at Wakefields, it's deemed crucial that both clients and staff enjoy a fresh, contemporary and flexible space in which to conduct business. The moves and changes are taking place right now, with all the very latest technology in place to provide state-of-the-art accessibility for staff, and quality experiences for clients.

Wakefields Head Office is moving from their long-time home on the Berea, to their stylish Kloof office. It's a big move from a landmark building that holds so much Wakefields history, to a fresh, contemporary new home...but it makes perfect sense. All the support and service teams will be under one roof - finances, human resources, IT, marketing and the training academy - so accessibility is improved considerably for the sales and management team. They'll have everything at their fingertips. Importantly, the conflation of Head Office and the Kloof branch into one, has resulted in a wonderful upgrade to the look, feel and operational flow to accommodate the new ways of working, with fewer cubicles and more open plan layouts, encouraging networking and interaction.

And just as the Berea Head Office is relocating, so too, is the Berea branch...but not far. Just around the corner from their current location - Clifton Place, 19 Hurst Grove - where the space, safe undercover parking and accessibility is more tailored to today's needs. The office is bright and modern, with a more open plan and contemporary layout.

The Beach branch, too, has just moved location to a highly convenient complex at North Beach - you'll find them at Shop Number 1, Mangrove Beach Centre. They're right next to the Olive Convention Centre - remember those ice rink days? - where you'll find an airier, brighter office that offers improved parking facilities and a modern mood. Clients and staff are clearly enjoying this new location and the open plan interior layout.

In the past few years, swift and effective adaption to our 'new normal' has seen Wakefields build a stronger, larger, more resilient brand with the latest technology, finest on-site training academy, and professional staff with online savvy. That's the #WakefieldsWay.
