I interviewed 4 different agents across different estate agencies, each time asking the agency office for their top agent in the Reservoir Hills area. After interviewing the 4 agents, Naz immediately stood out as a cut above the rest and I had little hesitation in choosing her as the agent for the job. You see, the property that was being sold was for my 87 year old grandad and 83 year old grandmother. They've lived in their purpose built architect-designed 5 bedroom palatial (500sqm) home for 32 years, and it had great sentimental value with my grandfather choosing each material and being heavily involved in the detail of the building process. As a family we have many great memories in this home and "letting go" of such was not easy for my grandparents. However Naz has a special way of dealing with clients, and made this process so easy. A few highlights that stood out for me: - She quickly was able to determine and recommend "market value" with her in depth knowledge of the area. She substantiated such with not only the usual Lightstone reports but knowledge of other houses, sales, and circumstances. - She was not forceful in recommending a price and left it to us as sellers to choose, however her guidance made it easy to choose a listing sales price that seemed fair. - Naz ensured that each and every show visit she attended personally and pre-arranged with us as a family and my grandparents that live alone. She was security conscious and vetted clients upfront before bringing them through, which put my grandparents at ease. - When we didn't have any solid offers she recommended a Network mandate and handled the entire process seamlessly - We had one serious offer (the ultimate buyers that closed), however the buyers required 100% bond which I personally thought would be unlikely. She tirelessly worked with the buyers and completed their documentation and worked with the buyers and bond originators to get the full bond approved - When we ran into speed bumps with the rates clearance certificate she put us in contact with an attorney who could assist in chasing such - We had 40 various items of furniture to sell/remove, Naz coordinated and assisted us in selling this to the new buyers, even though this was well after the concluded sale and did not need to be her priority or problem. - My grandfather wanted to be there for the handover, concerned for his health in the current pandemic environment, she sent me an early morning reminder to ensure that he wears a mask! - When the buyers drove from Kokstad to Durban this morning she even wanted to ensure they had breakfast on hand after the long journey. We are so very grateful to Naz for all her assistance, persistence, gentle approach, and excellence in her service every step of the way.
