Blythedale Beach at a glance

Blythedale Beach lies on the subtropical Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Some 72km from Durban, 31km north of Ballito and 12km from Stanger, Blythedale Beach is an unspoilt holiday haven set within the extensive Blythedale Conservancy. This encompasses not only pristine beaches but it’s own National Heritage Site on the Umvoti River which is a favourite birdwatching spot. Whale and dolphin-watching as well as outstanding golf courses nearby are also popular attractions. The memorial to King Shaka stands in the neighbouring town of KwaDukuza (aka Stanger). A leisurely drive from Blythedale Beach takes you to the famous Anglo-Zulu battlefields, Zululand game reserves and Lake St Lucia World Heritage Site.
