The Wakefields Winter Mega Showday

Category Durban Property Market

On every Sunday of the year, the yellow Wakefields On Show boards can be seen throughout Kwa-Zulu Natal suburbs. The company is the largest property advertiser and holds the most number of residential property showdays than any other. If you are a serious buyer looking to view the widest range of residential stock within the province, this is a serious advantage.

The importance of having homes On Show for potential purchasers to view has proven highly successful with buyers commencing their searches on the various websites and property portals. These website searches are the usual starting point for identifying actual properties to visit.

Wakefields for a number of years now have held what we refer to as either Bumper Showdays or the new Wakefields Mega Showday. The company embarks to have every Property Consultant out On Show for that day and diarise to hold these larger Company Showdays usually 6 times throughout the calendar year.

Our most recent example of this was the Wakefields Winter Mega Showday held on Sunday the 22nd June 2014. With over 6000 properties available to potential purchasers on the day, the buyer attendance in most instances is noticeably higher and from a sellers perspective, these extra marketing initiatives are not to be missed if you are looking to maximise exposure to your property.

The results of the day are always worth the extra marketing spend. With larger full page adverts within the local newspapers and property magazines and extra mileage on the Wakefields East Coast Radio Sunday Show, these initiatives all go hand in hand in focusing buyer attention to properties new to the market. With so many properties On Show all at one time, it encourages purchasers to come out on mass with offers to purchase and actual sales commonly reported.

In support of the day, Wakefields also challenged their employees and all visitors to their showdays to donate a blanket to the company in an effort to help keep all KZN residents warm this Winter.

These blankets were collected and will be donated to ICare, whose main focus is to rehabilitate street children and provide much needed support and education to them. The company would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our employees and showday visitors who so generously donated these blankets to those less fortunate.

If you are a purchaser or seller and not looking to miss out on future buying or selling opportunities, then please ensure that you take note of our next Wakefields Mega Showday planned for later in the year.
