Queensburgh, is situated in KwaZulu Natal and its name historically originated during the celebration of Queen Elizabeth's accession to the throne. It is situated inland with a 15-minute drive from Durban and comprises four main suburbs, namely Malvern, Escombe, Northdene and Moseley. Bordering the southern end of Queensburgh is Sarnia Road, an arterial road that begins at Solomon Mahlangu Drive (Edwin Swales Drive) and encompasses the smaller suburbs of Sea View, Bellair, Hillary and Mount Vernon. Queensburgh is conveniently positioned with close proximity to the southern industrial hubs of Prospecton, Jacobs and Mobeni as well as western industrial hubs of Pinetown, Westmead and New Germany. The area also offers easy access to the M7 Highway, N2 and N3 freeways.

Queensburgh is a popular suburb with affordable homes that are suitable for "First-Time" Buyers as well as palatial homes for the top-end Purchasers. Because of the high demand for properties in central Malvern, this has pushed up the prices in this part of Queensburgh. The popular Pavilion Mall is about a 10-minute drive from Queensburgh.

Queensburgh enjoys a typical sub-tropical Durban climate with hot and humid days in peak summer and slightly cooler in winter that may just warrant light long-sleeve apparel. The various suburbs offer lush green-belt sections with exquisite fauna and flora. North Park and Roosfontein Natures Reserves are situated in Queensburgh and offers good trails for adventure seekers.
